A New York speakeasy and steakhouse, below Barrack Street.

Employees Only began on Hudson Street in New York’s West Village in 2004, a bar built by bartenders for the people who work in hospitality. The Sydney bar opened in 2018 in a basement at 9A Barrack Street, five minutes’ walk from Wynyard Station. Look for the red psychic sign and take the stairs down.

Downstairs it’s a steakhouse and cocktail bar: steak tartare made at your table, 1824 and CopperTree cuts from the grill, and the Employees Only classics alongside cocktails created by the Sydney team. The bar stays open until 3am on Friday and Saturday, with live burlesque on both nights.
