The best hidden bar in Sydney.
Follow the red 'psychic' sign on Barrack Street. Head through the door. Take the stairs down. You'll find us in a basement that's earned its place on Urban List and Time Out's lists of Sydney's best hidden bars.
Behind a psychic's sign.
There's no neon on the awning. No sandwich board. Just a red script sign that says 'Psychic' and a doorway next to it. Come through and the stairs reveal themselves — zodiac symbols etched in gold, a chandelier at the top, a basement at the bottom.
It's a hidden speakeasy in the heart of Sydney CBD, inspired by the original Employees Only on Hudson Street in New York's West Village — a bar that helped shape the modern speakeasy movement globally.
Come for the cocktails. Stay for the burlesque — Sydney's most prestigious performers, on rotation every Friday and Saturday. You never know who you might rub shoulders with.
Drinks worth finding.
Our signature cocktails are innovative, and they've garnered a worldwide following. The Amelia — Wyborowa vodka, St. Germain elderflower liqueur shaken with fresh lemon and puréed blackberries — and the Manhattan, Knob Creek Straight Rye stirred with Mancino Rosso, Grand Marnier and dashes of Angostura, have stood the test of time. They're now highly regarded as some of the best in the world.
